The Date 5 part 2Rumble ran as quickly as he could, flapping his wings to give him a little more speed. All of a sudden, Scootaloo bolted out of nowhere on her scooter, haulting Rumble in his tracks.
"I immediately grabbed my scooter to catch up with you and ask what is going on? You approach me and my female friends with that suit and act like somepony else", said Scootaloo.
"I was uuuhhh", stammered Rumble, thinking of a cool-sounding excuse, "Trying to get ideas to order big meals from Canterlot. Don't you just hate it when they run out of hay sandwiches?"
"Yeah, uh-huh", replied Scootaloo, sarcasticlly, "And don't you also just hate it when some Ponies act like someone they're not just so they can hit on you?"
"WHAT!?" exclaimed Rumble in shock, his sunglasses flying off, realizing that Scootaloo was catching onto his game. "I-I-I got to go home. Bye!"
Some time later, Rumble got rid of that chalk-striped suit and that pair of sunglasses. He then sat in front of a well, looking down and depressed.
The Date 5 part 1On a nice and sunny day in Ponyville, Thunder Lane (that tough, yet kind of skittish black Pegasus Pony) was out doing some laps in the air.
Just as he was landing, his little brother, Rumble, just happened to be standing right there with an expectant look on his face.
"What's up, little bro?" asked Thunder.
"Well...", mumbled Rumble, starting to blush, "I-I have a...c-c-cr-cr-"
"A crush?" replied Thunder, finishing his brother's sentance for him, "Now that's a first for you!"
"She's the same race as us, Pegasus Pony", Rumble muttered, blushing at the thought of revealing his personal secrets with his big brother, "And she's pretty cool. She likes sports, especially scooter-riding. I-I don't even know her name"
"Maybe I could give you some tips, Rumble", said Thunder, not knowing that he was about to tell his younger sibling the wrong things to do, "First off, never show your true colors. Girls often get annoyed when some guy shows off his true self. He can seem boring to her"
Daring Do and the Heart of the Everfree Forest: p9Later on, Daring Do came across a large creek. The water was murky and tall reeds lined the creek's boarders. Frogs and Storks feed and drank near the edge.
But then, just as she began to drink, a long snout with sharp teeth struck right out of the murk of the creek. The Frogs and Storks retreated in fear. Daring leapt back in fright, her heart racing quickly from the unexpected ambush. "Talk about unexpected visitors!"
The attacker was a 40-foot-long Crocodilian Reptile with a 6-foot-long head and many sharp, pointed teeth in its mouth. It then began to bask on the bank, slowly getting enough heat from the sun (due to being cold-blooded) so it could catch its target, Daring Do!
"Better find out about this Crocodile and Alligator cousin", said Daring, pulling out her book and looking for information on this carnivorous Reptile. She found the correct profile. "Mahamba, eh?" she said as she read. She learned that the Mahamba is a descendant of Sarcosuchus, solitary and normally ambushes
Daring Do and the Heart of the Everfree Forest: p8Daring Do, as she observed the herd of Emela-Ntouka Rhinos and the herd of Mokele-Mbembe Sauropods, knew well that open ground draws heavy fire.
She then spotted something big moving in the cover of the trees nearby. Daring squinted her eyes to see what they were. It was a pair of bipedal red Dinosaurs with black stripes. She could tell by the deep growling, claws and sharp teeth that they were indeed predators.
Daring looked into her guidebook and found their profile. "Virunga, is what they are called", she said as she began to read about the species. She learned that Virungas are 50-foot-long, carnivorous Theropod Dinosaurs, descended from Carcharodontosaurus (one of the few land predators to be bigger than Tyrannosaurus). She also found out that they live either alone or in pairs. They mate for life and often bring food to their newly-hatched young.
"I could already tell that they are not T. Rex cousins", said Daring, noting that these particular hunters lacked feathers and had thre
Daring Do and the Heart of the Everfree Forest: p7Later that afternoon, Daring Do came across an open field. It was covered in grass and many herb-like Plants.
"This seems like a fine place to graze", said Daring, feeling hungry again.
Just as she started grazing, she heard snorts and deep grunts coming from up ahead. There, standing at least 30 feet away from her, was a small group of Bush Elephant-sized Rhinoceroses, entering the open area from the thick jungle and begining to feed on the lush Foliage. They all had one tall horn on their snouts.
Daring get out her guidebook and looked up the profile. "Here they are. Emela-Ntouka" She learned that these huge Rhinoceros are often pretty tough-acting, especially when challenging each other for herd dominance.
And then, the distant calls of bellowing giants, bigger than the Emela-Ntouka, were heard approaching. And out of the jungle, a herd of huge herbivorous Dinosaurs came lumbering out onto the open field. They measured about 39-48 feet long from the tip of their snouts to the tip of
Daring Do and the Heart of the Everfree Forest: p6As the Pygmy Elephant herd continued to feed on the grass and leaves in the area, they were indeed being stalked by something deadly.
From within the thick line of tree cover that flanked the small clearing near the river, a hunting trio of the large and dangerous Chimpanzees that Daring Do had encountered the her first day in the valley, Muscle Apes, were stalking the Pygmy Elephants, ready to attack any young, old or injured individuals in the herd.
As Daring stood on the other side of the river, she backed away into a bush to remain hidden as she spotted the Muscle Apes' shapes prowl through the undergrowth, hungry for some Pygmy Elephant meat. She noted that they do eat fruit, Insects and leaves, but they also go for fellow Vertebrates whenever the chance comes to them.
"I wish could help the Pony-sized Elephants", Daring thought to herself, noticing the young calves playing amongst the adults, "But I must not interfear with the natural cycle"
All of a sudden the matriach, still on
Daring Do and the Heart of the Everfree Forest: p5The next morning, Daring Do woke up from her branchy bed. She slowly flew to the ground. Once she reached the ground, Daring yawned and stretched out her her legs, wings and vertebrae.
Feeling very hungy, she decided to eat some of the purple Violets that grew in the small clearing she had been near all night.
"The guidebook says they are alright", she mumbled, drowsily, "So here's breakfast"
But just as she began to munch on the purple petals of the Violets, she heard a little shrieking noise and froze still in shock. Daring felt a very nervous, the Creature that made that noise did not sound like anything she had encountered yet.
Out from the nearby bushes appeared some sort of very young toddler Monkey. It had a Deer-like tail, a short Baboon-like snout and had pale gray coloring. It also wore a skirt made from long grass blades around its waist and a necklace made with Mouse bones and Stork feathers around its neck.
Daring immediately flew back to the tree branch she had slept in f
Daring Do and the Heart of the Everfree Forest: p4Daring Do walked through a patch of Gaboon Trees and then came across a small river, winding its way through the jungle.
"Finally", said Daring, "Some natural fresh water"
She walked over to the water's edge and began to drink. But as she drank she did it rapidly, for that rock that had knocked her out earlier had left her uncious for so long that she desperately needed to drink plenty of h2o.
She stopped drinking as soon as she heard the loud and low bellows of local large Animals and the wails and screaches of smaller ones. The calls of these valley Creatures tempted Daring to leave the area, but she needed to stay there for a while, she must drink now or die.
After getting enough fluids, Daring sat down on the Moss-covered bank, reached into her pack and pulled out her guidebook to the sightings of this primitive valley.
"Here's what that Chimp was", she said, finding the profile on the Muscle Ape. She learned that it is a large Common Chimpanzee subspecies, measuring at about 4.2-5
A Week Of KissesA Week Of Kisses
The first day I told you I loved you,
I imagined kissing your shoulder,
Well before I thought about your lips.
Because I don’t know what I am doing, firstly,
But more importantly,
It’s because I know things can spiral quickly,
If things start shifting
After we lay down the concrete.
So I kiss the foundation,
Before we reach the soil.
The second day I told you I loved you,
I imagined kissing your elbow,
Because it holds together the touch
And the flex.
To exhibit it,
I must kiss the joint that bends
And combines us together.
The third day I told you I loved you,
I lay my lips to your temples,
As I learned about the temple of reform,
For the Youth in North America.
Kissing you there signifying I will protect you,
As well as your temple,
As we re-form, into something more.
The fourth day I told you I loved you,
I’d kiss you softly on your forehead.
Because that’s what holds your brillian
