As soon as the foals reached the southern wasteland, they found that it to was burning and looked hellish.
"Dang, that Kurayami!" snapped Scootaloo, "Acting like it's king of the universe!"
"Uuuuhh...It IS the ruler of the universe", corrected Sweetie Belle.
The four trekked out into the burning wasteland. They eventually came across a huge herd of Behemoths gathered around something. None of the huge Reptiles seemed to notice this dramatic change in the world around them. The foals moved through the crowd to see what they were all looking at. It was a battle for herd dominance at the center of the herd, two males battling with their tusks at each other with the herd as their audience.
"Hey! Guys!" whispered a familiar voice from nearby. It was Moothis, the young Behemoth, sneaking through the crowd over to the foals. "What are you doing here? You're gonna get slaughtered if you are noticed"
"Watch this", said Scootaloo. She then raised her voice as loud as she could and shouted to get the herd's attention. "AHEM!"
The two battling males stopped clashing and looked at Scootaloo and so did the herd.
"What do you young Ponies want?" growled and adult female Behemoth.
"We came to warn you all about the darkness that has infected the whole universe!" anounced Pipsqueak, "How come none of you Behemoths noticed the great change all around you"
"Probably because our kind has lived in a wasteland for milleniums", said one of the quarreling males, looking up at the black ans red sky, "We've gotten used to seeing barren things"
"And you wish to undo this whole thing, eh?" questioned the other quarreling male, "And you want our help or something?"
"We do", said Apple Bloom.
"Why would we want to help Ponies with anything?" questioned one of the Behemoths in the crowd.
"Because the conflict between the two species was long before any of us alive right now were hatched", anounced Moothis, trying to sound grea to his own species, "Forget about the past and focus on the present, maybe the Ponies will give us a new and fertile home to live in"
The Behemoths all looked at each other and wondered if this were true.
"All right, Ponies", said one of the quarreling Behemoths, "Let's go save the universe"
Pretty soon, the foals were in the middle of the huge trekking Behemoth herd, being herded safely back into Equestria.
"Keep them Ponies moving, rawhide!" shouted an elderly male Behemoth.
