Meet Penny part 1

On a fine and sunny day in Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle and Spike were out for a stroll together as good friends.

"Hey, look at that!" pointed out Spike.

"What is it?" asked Twilight.

There, they saw a grayish-blue, middle-aged, male Earth Pony watching some mover Ponies load a bunch of furniture into a house.

"Looks like we have some new neighbors", said Twilight.

That's when they saw a young adult female Pegasus Pony, with a tan coloring and a Cutie Mark of heart, fly over to the middle-aged male's side.

"It's great to be back here in Ponyville, dad", said the female Pony to the older male.

"Dad?" questioned Spike, "But they are two different Pony races"

"Looks like we will have to ask ourselves, then", suggested Twilight.

The two headed over to the female Pony, just as her "father" was entering the house.

"Hi, I'm Twilight Sparkle", greeted Twilight.

"And I'm Spike", added Spike.

"My name's Penny", replied the female Pegasus Pony, "Me and my stepfather just moved back into the neighborhood"

"That explains why you and him are two different races", said Spike, getting the idea that Penny was adopted.

"What do you mean 'back' into Ponyville?" asked Twilight.

"We lived here a while back", Penny replied, "I can tell you two the whole story soon, I have to help my stepdad unpack"
