Meet Penny part 3

Later on, when Penny was a school-age filly, she was now living a wonderful life with her stepfather. Every now and then, Archibald the Nessie would visit, tells Penny stories from his homeland and show her how to play his personal favorite instrument (unique to his homeland), the bagpipes.












One day, while Penny was playing tag with her classmates, near the edge of the Everfree Forest the bushes rustled. Out popped the long neck and crested head of a female Double-Wattled Cassowary, named Wary, looking like she was up to no good.

"Hhhmmm...yes", said the flightless Bird quietly to herself, "I like this place. Lots of opportunity here. Don't you agree, Cass?"

Out of the same bush popped up the head of Wary's brother, Cass.

"I guess so", Cass said, "I was just dozing a bit until you woke me up and..."

"Oh, shut up!" hissed Wary, "Now let's go find some food!"

"What are we going to find here?" Cass asked his sister.

"This Pony-controlled town, dear brother", answered Wary, "Is loaded with tons of defensless foals...right for the pecking"









Penny, meanwhile was already befriending a Unicorn Pony colt (named Harold) who had just moved here from the Pony settlement of Sandoraia in the mysterious Tarko Desert, beyond Equestria.

"What's it like being an exchange student?" asked Penny.

"Well", said Harold, "It's interesting. Also, I have something that I found back in the Tarko Desert I wanted to share with someone in secret. My parents can't keep a secret, so I guess I'll trust you with it"

"You can count on me", replied Penny happily.
