Origin of the Pony Universe: 12

Over the following few centuries, Celestia noticed that some ponies began to make up an old myth about Nightmare Moon eating you if you do not give her an offering. This was totally not true and Celestia got worried that if they continued with this made-up story about her sister, Kurayami/Luna (AKA Nightmare Moon) would reappear back to Earth.

So Celestia called over her brother, Geo, and the two told the mortals to stop it or else evil would return to the world. Ever since this old fable, a kid-friendly holiday called "Nightmare Night" was created by the mortal Ponies.

A century later, Celestia noticed that in 6 Equestrian cities, six evil male dictator Ponies had a mad lust for power. They were two Earth Ponies (Sattledam Horsain & Naponyeon Bonaparte), two Unicorn Ponies (Adolf Horseler & Mao Zehoof) and two Pegasus Ponies (Fidal Canterstro & Georgehorse III). She attempted to send in more calmer authorities to reason with them, but they were too insane with evil.

Celestia then had no choice but to deal with them with her mighty Alicorn powers. The six evil Ponies began to change into hideous, water-breathing versions of their former selves. Their fur was replaced by Amphibian-like skin, their tails became long and bony with shark like tail fins, their eyes became as black as a Great White Shark's eyes, their teeth turned Dolphin-like, they got Crustacean-like mandibles, their ears disappeared (replaced by the vibration senses of a Whale), they got Iguana-like spines running down their backs, their hooves became split and toe-like with webs, they got gills on both sides of their throats and their Cutie Marks were shunned and gone forever.

The two Earth Ponies still had their strength and the two Unicorn Ponies still had their horns and magic, yet the Pegasus Ponies' wings turned from Bird-like to Whale flipper-like.

Celestia then banished the now-called "Deep Water Steeds" to a deep dark trench in the Great Equestrian Ocean (which is the ocean near Equestria's continent). She also gave them longer lifespans for a few more thousand years so they could suffer living under the ocean.

To maintain them from getting out of the trench and terrorizing the local Hippocamps, Celestia recruited two Mountain Gorilla brothers named Hykor and Marnyon to be the Deep Water Steeds' jail guards. The two Apes grew larger in size, they got gills on their throats, they got long sharp claws on their hands and feet with webbing between their toes and fingers, their eyes turned Shark-like, their intelligence grew, they got Walrus-like tusks, longer lifespans of a few more thousand years and received very protective armor and weapons made from metal from Celestia.

Centuries after that, Celestia welcomed a family of wandering Earth Ponies that had nowhere to go. She recommended near the Everfree Forest for good harvesting. Her words made one of the family's foals, named Smith (AKA, Granny Smith as a filly) leap with happiness.

After the wandering Earth Ponies departed Canterlot, Celestia's birthday came the following day. She received a pet Phoenix from her brother, Geo, and she named this female Phoenix, Philomena. As Philomena became very popular, the Eagle-like Bird-of-Prey, Goliath (a Roc who was the current pet of Celestia at the time) went mad with jealousy and deserted Canterlot and went rogue.
