Literature Text

A few years after the defeat of the Antmen, the Alicorns of Earth decided to let Ponies create their own police forces to enforce laws. However, their also needed to be a great warrior-like Being to protect the country from evil from other places on the planet and outside the planet.

Thus, they created an 8th Element of Harmony, the Spirit of Friendship; differing from the Spirit of Magic (which was originally called the Spirit of Intrigue). They even gave the 8th Element a mind of its own. The form the Element chose to take was not a gem-like form like the others, the form it took was a giant living stone statue soldier Pony with the powers of fire, ice, stone, liquid water, subterranean earth, air, light, gravity magnetism, electricity, acid and sonic waves. Over time, The Great Stone Pony of Friendship protected the country and the planet from any evil threat that approached, whether it was a Demon or an evil extraterrestrial. This great stone guardian even made smaller, Deer-sized copies of itself to create more power in this force.

However, the small duplicates fell one by one as the unrelenting shadow of Kurayami, the inventor of evil, invaded Earth. The dark Entity's plan was to send every single Animal on Earth, including Ponies, into a deep slumber and would wake up with no memory and would believe that Kurayami was their master and conqueror.

Reluctantly, The Great Stone Pony of Friendship battled against the evil one, hoping to defeat it. All of its elemental powers did not work on the wicked beholder of darkness. So the Great Stone Pony of Friendship summoned its best power of all that it had hardly used in a while, the Harmony power of Friendship; itself. Kurayami was defeated, but not gone. Kurayami had become very weak from that blast of Harmony power and could do nothing more than possess bodies of living Organisms. It would take a few more centuries for the dark being to heal.

The Great Stone Pony of Friendship then decided to pass the torch of leadership to a new generation of guardian hero, a female Pygmy Griffin. The Great Stone Pony of Friendship passed the power on by turning back into the Spirit of Friendship and went inside that Griffin's body, giving her its powers.

Kurayami tried to destroy this Pygmy Griffin and the 8th Element inside her, but she was well armed and Kurayami disappeared; but that evil Being said that it would return someday and that you cannot destroy it, for it is immortal (practically nothing).

The Spirit of Friendship then departed the female Griffin's body and decided to retire in the great old temple in which the other Elements of Harmony had always resided. It then took the form of the post on which the other Elements had always sat upon, in order to camouflage itself from any new evil threats and it has been disguised in the temple ever since, waiting for the day that it would reveal itself and choose a new host, possibly another Pygmy Griffin.

Not too long after, Kurayami continued to spread its evil to the most unlikely of subjects. One such victim was an old goat named Grogar. Kurayami's evil spread to Grogar like a virus, yet it granted him an unbelievably longer lifespan and twisted evil magic to wield. He became an evil tyrant who declared himself ruler of Equestria, creating foul monsters artificially with his toxic hellish magic to wreak havoc across the land until a group of Unicorn Pony warriors, led by Gusty the Great who was a noble Unicorn Pony mare, fought back. Gusty herself took Grogar's mystical bell leaving him weakened, and he was thus banished. Over the following ages, the Alicorns and mortal Ponies agreed to probably keep this highly powerful Kurayami servant a secret from future generations by crediting him as a character whom never existed. The Alicorns were aware though that Grogar, with his infinite lifespan, would recover over time and seek to conquer again.
