Packmonkeys, Monscacumecebus peregrinabundus
, are a hardy species of Cercopithecid Monkey that are often traveling through the mountains and the plains of Falsarcticum.
They are relatively harmless Primates, living in large troops, looking out for one another, like what any Primate would do.
Their diet consists of Arthropods, tubers, eggs and berries (the only kind of fruit found in this region).
A Packmonkey is always ready to explore, and he or she will often encourage the rest of his or her troop to join in the adventure.
These highly-intelligent Monkeys are smart enough to admire flowers, make fire out of rubbing two sticks together and even make their own backpacks and belts out of the hides of dead fellow Animals. Packmonkeys often work as traveling "deliverers" wandering back and forth between the homes of other Falsarcticum sentient species as a trade route (an example being bringing messages).
They often work for food (whenever their usual supplies of natural resources become scarce) and usually get it from things like Crystal Ponies, Tribe Eagles and even Gelutaurs. Packmonkeys normally stay away from anything that can be unpredictably dangerous, like a really hungry Tribe Eagle, a Frost Python and even territorial Panthequines (which are rarely encountered).
For some reason, I picture this as their theme music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AL-j8h…
