Quest for the Elements: chapter 4

Eventually, Buford the Raccoon and all those Fireflies lead the whole group to a strange shrine, made from wood and vines and decorated with blooming flowers, near the edge of the bayou.

"Here it is, 'sher", annouced Buford, "Da headquarters of Empress Bota, de Alicorn who's currently in charge of all of de planet's Plants' photosynthesis"

"Thanks a lot, Buford", said Sunnote with a smile and pat on the Raccoon's head.

"Well, I gotta go home now, ya'll", said Buford as he scampered back into the undergrowth, "So long, 'sher!"

At that very moment, Empress Bota, the cousin of Celestia, stepped right out of her verdant home.

"On a quest, I see", Bota said the whole group.

"We have come seeking you", said Griffy, "Because your good cousin, Celestia, tells us that you know a special passageway into the realm of darkness"

"Why can't she open up a portal for you?" asked Bota, "Is she trying to focus on something else?"

"Yes", said Rarity.

"Very well, watch carefully", said Bota, using her powers to open up a dark-colored portal that lead to the evil dimensional realm of Kurayami, "Good luck, all of you"











As the 10 Ponies, 3 Dragons and 1 Griffin entered the portal, it immediately closed up behind them. Bota knew that if she kept it open any longer, Demons may enter into the physical universe.

The 14 beings trecked for a bit through this awful and horrifying dimension. Even Gorgak, a fully-grown male Mountain Dragon, was scared out of his mind. And he had a good reason, with his tail and wings twitching in fear.

"So this is properly called Tartarus, right?" asked Spike.

"Only by Ponies", said Twilight, "It has many other names given by many mortal species. Monkeys call it the Underworld, Ponies call it Tartarus, "actual" Pegasi call it Neffleheim and the rest just call it.....Hell. It is the totall opposite of the Alicorns' main domain outside of the physical universe, which is called Heaven"

That's when they saw Comet Tail standing on a tall, cliff-like object nearby. He saw them all and did not know what to do.

"Remember, you do not need them anymore", said the thundering voice of Kurayami in Comet's head.

"YOU'VE MADE A GRAVE MISTAKE IN COMING HERE!" shouted Comet.

"We came to save you and the Elements of Harmony!" said Appleseed.

"The only ones you can save now are yourselves", hissed Comet, "Bow down, and pledge your allegiance to me!"

"AHEM!" boomed the voice of Kurayami.

"A-and...to Kuraymi!" Comet said.

"And if we don't?" shouted both Rainbow Dash and Thunder Dash.

"Then I will make you!" yelled Comet, and he charged right at them, his horn at the ready.

Twilight then remembered the one kind of emotion that could bring her boyfriend back...love. Just as Comet reach then group a prepared to blast some destructive magic at them all, Twilight immediately zoomed right up into Comet's face...and kissed him right on the lips. The feeling of love was begining to return into Comet's mind as he enjoyed Twilight's kiss. It was indeed destined love.

"Oh no!" shouted a nearby Tiger-like masculine Demon, "Love is taking place!"

"Drat!" shouted a nearby Snake-like feminine Demon, "Such a positive emotion like true love burns!"

From the love that come forth from Twilight Sparkle and Comet Tail, the rest of the group felt more calmer as it frightened the many nearby Demons away, creating a force field of love around the whole team to protect them from anything native to this realm.

Kurayami came forward. "You may have a barrier of love, but I still have the Spirits of the Elements of Harmony" It then made a glowing sphere appear beside it, and inside this sphere were the EoH.

"We can surely get them back!" said Applejack, "With our companionship teamwork power!"

The particular members of the team who were the ones to harbor the Elements' spirits (Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Spike, Griffy, Thunder Dash, Eclipse Twinkle and Appleseed) all began to announce their Element to make the spirits return directly to them:

"Honesty"

"Loyalty"

"Laughter"

"Kindness"

"Generosity"

"Friendship"

"Unity"

"Carin"

"Courage"

"Light"

"Magic, I mean Intrigue"


The Elements gradually returned automatically to the hosts' bodies, warping right out of their little spherical prison.

"It will take more than the Elements of Harmony to destroy me", said Kurayami.

Just as the dark entity was about to destroy them, a new portal opened up back to the physical universe. It was Empress Bota, Princess Luna, Lord Geo and Princess Cadence, opening the portal for our heroes. And right behind them was an elderly male Alicorn and an elderly female Alicorn. These two were husband and wife. They were Lactivirgatus, current highfather of the Milky Way galaxy, and Saichanequus, current highmother of the Milky Way galaxy.

"Come through, quick!" said Luna.













As soon as the 14 members of the team (15, on the count of Comet joining in and being good again) made it back safely to the mortal realm, it was already sunrise.

Twilight saw her brother, Shining Armor, standing near Celestia, waiting as desperately as Twilight was for their parents' ressurection.

It worked, Celestia used her current, temporary ability...and Twilight and Shining's mother and father were back. The four had a big family hug, even Spike joined in for it.

Peace was restored and life was simple again...for now.
