Soarin's Secret

While everypony in Equestria was heading for Canterlot for good protection from the Antmen, Soarin' was just sitting in the park that evening, thinking about what he had just done earlier that day.

(Flashback)
He and Spitfire had taken there Wonderbolt uniforms off, for there truthfully was no reason, due to there being dark times with monster Ants rampaging everywhere.

They just took a stroll down the streetmet up with Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Spike and Griffy preparing themselves to go out an hunt for the 7th Element of Harmony, the Spirit of Unity.

Soarin' could finally see the girl with the rainbow-colored mane who was his team's biggest fan and saved his Apple pie for him at the Grand Galloping Gala more clearer now. As he stared at her, he felt his heart beat rapidly, his legs shaking, his wings twitching, his throut needing to gulp and his face begining to sweat. He had never felt such a feeling like this before, for it was love.

Once Spitfire wished the gang good luck on their journey, Soarin' realized that this life-threatening quest might mean that he'd never see that pretty tomboy ever again. So he picked up some nerve, said that he found one of the girls extremely attractive, blushed, walked up to Rainbow Dash, kissed her on the lips and immediately galloped off.
(End of flashback)

"Hello?", said Spitfire as she gave Soarin' a noogie, "Anypony in there?"

"Oh hi! Spitfire!", stammered Soarin'.

"Are thinking about that fast-flying rainbow girl?", asked Spitfire, with a friendly smile.

"Well I can't stop thinking about her!", said Soarin' as sighed with joy in his heart and smiling as though he were getting a back rub.

"I knew it!", said Spitfire while trotting in place with excitment, "You're in love!"





Once the Antmen were gone and the big celebration in Canterlot was taking place, Soarin' tried to hide from the crowd the public library, very worried about meeting Rainbow again. The library door opened and in walked Griffy who was looking for a particular book then was stunned to see Soarin' sitting there, breathing deeply and blushing.

"Are you okay?", asked the Pygmy Griffin as he swooped over to the Pony, "I think I've seen that face before on other Beings in the past, you dig Rainbow, don't you?"

"I want to take some time before I can tell her the whole truth about my feeling for her", said Soarin' as started to fantasize about Rainbow Dash, "Her wonderful flight skills, her amazingly adventurous personality, her pretty face"

"A little word of advise, buddy", said Griffy in response, "Hero girls respond to confidence"

"Sure, but do you know if she digs me also?", asked Soarin', twiddling his hooves.

"I'll find some more clues to your love interest" said Griffy as he found the book he was looking for and left the building.






Soarin' was later on rounded up by Spitfire and the two flew back to Cloudsdale. Soarin' still could not stop thinking about Rainbow. Little did he know, she was thinking about him too.
