The Date 8 part 4

Later that evening, Doughnut Joe borrowed a special tuxedo from Spike (made bigger to fit Joe by Twilight's magic).

"You actually do look very handsome in that", said Twilight, admiring how Joe looked in it.

Joe looked in the mirror. "Not bad", he said, "I look kind of like James Buckond"

Spike and Twilight cracked up at that comment. Even the two Birds, Peewee (who was just visiting for a sleepover with permission from his parents) and Owlicious cracked up.









Meanwhile, Rarity was putting on one of her best outfits. Something not to overdone and not to underdone, but just right.

Griffy stood outside her house, his back against the building, tapping his Lion-like hind foot on the ground. Rarity finally emerged out. She wore a diamond necklace, a blue and purple gown and glass hoof shoes (one per foot).

"Looks like you are going to totally get Doughnut Joseph to like you", said Griffy, "By the way, is there something different about your mane?"

"Why yes, darling", replied Rarity, "I wetted it a bit. I believe this shows off my more natural beauty"

"Viingizui..." Griffy exclaimed, "Normally, I'm annoyed by your looks, but this wet mane look actually makes you look nice!"

Rarity then stepped back into the house, waiting for Joe's arrival. Griffy then spotted the stallion approaching, his black tuxedo almost invisible in the night's shadows.

"Oh good, you've arrived!" said Griffy, greeting Joe.

"Say, uhhh, Griffy", said Joe, noticing Griffy's eyes seeming to glow in the dark, "What's wrong with your eyes, they look kind of scary in the moonlight"

"It's called eyeshine", replied Griffy, "We Pygmy Griffins are a tiny bit nocturnal. Nocturnals, such as Owls and Bats, and part-time nocturnals, such as my kind and White-Tailed Deer, all have eyeshine. Anyways, go up to the door and knock on it like a gentlecolt"

Joe took a deep breath and knocked on Rarity's door. It opened to reveal Rarity in her stunning outfit and her partly wet mane glisten. Joe's heart nearly gave out from this sight of true love.

"I thought you might look dapper in a tuxedo, Joseph", said Rarity, "I can see I was right"

"Y-yeah", stammered Joe, his face blushing like crazy at the sight of Rarity's appearence and compliment.

"Now, Griffy", said Rarity to Griffy, "How about you bring over here a Pumpkin and me and Joe will use our magic to turn it into a carrige-"

"NO!" shouted Griffy in shock and stress, "NOT ANOTHER PUMPKIN!!! PLEASE! I BEG OF YOU!! They are so hard to drag around!"

"How about a Blueberry, then?" suggested Joe.

"Perfect!" exclaimed Griffy. He quickly picked a berry off a nearby Blueberry bush. "Now what? Don't turn some random Mice into Equines, because you guys already are Equines, yet you are the ones who are dating and..."

Rarity and Joe then got an idea and looked at Griffy. "Oh no!" ranted Griffy, "You Faraslio in upendoha are not going to turn me into an Equine to pull your Blueberry carrage!"

But instead of turning the Pygmy Griffin into a Pony or another Equine, they decided to turn him into an Elephant to pull their carrage.
