The Delay for a Party

The following is a story within the plot of the episode "Sweet and Elite".





"I HAVE TO PROPOSE TO HER!" wailed Spike, trying to pull himself out of Griffy's grasp.

Griffy was holding Spike by his hind feet while the young Dragon was trying to break free of the Pygmy Griffin's grasp, digging his front claws into the soil in attempts to break free. Twilight Sparkle's birthday was happening that day and the rest of their gang had gone to Canterlot to celebrate it there where Rarity was staying for a while.

"There are two problems with that", said Griffy, "One: you are to young for marrage. Two: You are a different species than Rarity"

"C'mon!" complained Spike.

"We have to miss Twilight's birthday party in Canterlot because of this", moaned Griffy.





After the main six returned to Ponyville, Rarity told Spike and Griffy what she lied to the Canterlot Ponies about.

"I may have passed you off as a young Pony who is a local housekeeper", Rarity said to Spike, feeling rather ashamed.

"A housekeeper?" questioned Spike, feeling rather irritated at Rarity for once.

"Alright", said Griffy, trying not to sound annoyed, "What did you tell those rich high class snobs about me?"

"I may have passed you off as a Pony who is an extreme naturalist and my boyfriend", said Rarity, totally regreting for ever making that fib up about Griffy being a Pony and her boyfriend.

Griffy's face was increcibly shocked at this and he began to lose his temper with Rarity. But once the sound of a passing Robin chirping was heard, he forgot all about his anger, got hungry and went after the Robin for a snack. Spike just went home to join Twilight.

"Well that was a bizarre way of being spared", said Rarity outloud to herself.
